“Most carpenters in the South-East make promises on architectural drawings that they cannot produce accurately on site. Konkaya is the only workshop we have worked with in Imo and Rivers whose shop drawings match millimeter tolerances in reality. Their timber drying protocol alone saves clients from doors that jam during the rainy season or crack in Harmattan.”

Direct answers regarding modern furniture design, material durability, hardware specifications, and project commissioning across Nigeria.
Most imported mass-market furniture uses untreated particleboard and paper foils that swell, sag, and peel under West African humidity. At Konkaya, we craft every modern furniture piece using high-density moisture-resistant substrates, cured tropical hardwoods, and industrial anti-scratch matte lacquers engineered specifically for Nigerian climatic conditions.
We pair seasoned hardwoods with modern premium materials including German Blum and Hafele soft-close motion gear, Calacatta quartz countertops, anti-fingerprint acrylics, fluted acoustic panelling, and integrated warm 3000K architectural LED lighting.
Yes. While our design atelier and fabrication workshop are based in Industrial Layout Irete, Owerri, we regularly transport and install complete residential and commercial furniture commissions across Port Harcourt, Enugu, Asaba, Abuja, and Lagos with our dedicated white-glove installation team.
All hardwoods undergo moisture curing to achieve a balanced 10% to 12% equilibrium moisture content before cutting. We incorporate concealed relief joints, expansion channels, and multi-stage 6-sided protective sealant coats so your furniture retains its clean lines without warping or surface checking.
Standalone bespoke pieces (such as dining suites, media consoles, or executive desks) typically take 4 to 6 weeks. Fitted modular kitchens and custom master dressing suites take 5 to 7 weeks from approved 3D drawings to final on-site installation. Whole-residence commissions take 8 to 12 weeks.
