Architectural Scope & Joinery Engineering

A complete residential door package for a private mansion in Asaba. The focal point is a 3.2m tall by 1.6m wide external pivot door fabricated from quartersawn solid Nigerian Sapele Mahogany.

The door core contains steel stabilizing rods and thermal foam insulation, suspended on an oil-damped FritsJurgens pivot system rated to 500kg. Twelve internal passage doors were installed using concealed aluminum jambs plastered into the masonry, sitting entirely flush with the timber-paneled corridor walls.

All timber was treated against insect infestation and sealed with high-grade marine polyurethane to prevent swelling during high rainfall months and shrinking during Harmattan.
